Western New York Breast Health

Western New York Breast Health is a comprehensive breast health center established in March of 2009 to provide the most advanced, dedicated and compassionate care to patients with breast disease. By combining state-of- the-art diagnostic tools with a multidisciplinary team approach, we strive to meet the unique needs of each patient. Our emphasis is to provide quality care to all in a comfortable, yet professional, setting. At Western New York Breast Health, we believe in lifelong breast health and we exist solely to provide the highest level of care for our community.

Meet Our Staff

Vivian L. Lindfield, MD, FACS

Dr. Lindfield is certified by the American Board of Surgery and specializes in the treatment of breast disease. She earned her medical school degree at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. She completed her surgery specialty training at the University at Buffalo (UB) School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and UB-affiliated hospitals. She is a member of the American Society of Breast Disease, the Buffalo Surgical Society, and the Medical Society of the County of Erie. Dr. Lindfield has authored and co-authored articles and abstracts for numerous medical and surgical journals and publications. She has lectured extensively on topics related to breast care and breast cancer. Dr. Lindfield is an assistant clinical professor of surgery at UB and is affiliated with Erie County Medical Center, Kaleida Health and the Catholic Health System. Prior to beginning her studies in the field of medicine, Dr. Lindfield was an accomplished figure skater who competed nationally and internationally. As a professional she was a member of the Rhapsody On Ice Touring Show. She also was involved with coaching and mentoring young skaters throughout her career.

Kathleen Michienzi, Practice Administrator/Program Coordinator - ECMC Foundation

Kathleen joined Western New York Breast Health as Practice Administrator/Program Coordinator of Mobile Mammography Coach in February of 2012. Kathleen has extensive experience working in the healthcare sector for over 35 years, in radiology, commercial sales and marketing as well as medical offices.

As Practice Administrator Kathleen leads our team of dedicated staff and is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the practice and mobile mammography coach. As Program Coordinator for the Mobile Mammography Coach Kathleen works in collaboration with multiple community partners to identify rural and inner-city areas where women have not had screening mammograms or do not have access to getting screening mammograms and provide service in these areas so that women can benefit from mammography’s early detection capabilities.

Kathleen’s goal is to deliver efficient and effective service to all Western New York Breast Health patients, assist both the patients and providers in all aspects of care, and to use her extensive training, education and experience for the benefit of all those who are employed and are patients at Western New York Breast Health.

Sara K. Fritsch, MPAS, PA-C

Sara is a 2013 graduate of Daemen College, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree Summa cum Laude and Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.

Sara came to our practice with 5 years’ experience in Dermatology. Her knowledge of dermatology has been extremely helpful in the diagnosis and treatment of skin disorders of the breast.

Sara is a member of the Western New York Physician Assistant Association (WNYPAA).

Sara is married to Spencer Fritsch; they have a son and live in the North towns. When she isn’t busy being a Mom and Wife she likes spending “me time” with her friends.

Kelley A. Stawitzky, RT (R) (M), Assistant Program Coordinator Mobile Mammography Coach - ECMC Foundation

Kelley is a NYS registered radiologic technologist who is also certified in mammography. Kelley joined Western New York Breast Health in 2011 in her capacity as a radiologic technologist. Since the inception of the Mobile Mammography Coach (MMC) in July of 2012 Kelley is responsible for the daily quality assurance and NYS accreditation requirements for the mammography equipment. She participants in the implementation and statistical record keeping associated with grant requirements and accountability and manages the MMC staff and their schedules.

Kelley lives in Lancaster and she is “dog mom” to precocious Luna. She loves to travel in her free time.
